SLIA  / GMO Joint One day Medical Camp at 5 different locations in  Matara

Realizing the plight of the displaced people in Matara and their desperate need, SLIA responded by providing a sufficient quantity of Mobile Toilets to one of the major gathering points- Rahula College premises for three days with 24-hour cleaning service by Abans Environmental Services (Pvt) Ltd.

SLIA jointly organized a One-day Medical Camp assisted by the Government Medical Officers Association GMOA. Two Male Nurses and three Pharmacists were provided, courtesy of Dr. U Arawgoda, Director Hemas Hospital Thaluwathugoda, Mr. A M Indrajith Waruna of USA. The logistical support programme was provided with the collaboration of Mr. Ashwar Hameem, President of the Southern Motor Sports Club. Subsequently, SLIA established a Disaster Assistance Unit to Undertake Projects in Emergency Situations in Sri Lanka and other Countries.
